about me
I’m Nicole… My family consists of my awesome hubby, Chris, our 1 year old, Keegan, and our furry daughter, Madi. I love all things creative… You can say that I have always had an entrepreneurial spirit, from selling costume jewelry out of my Hello Kitty box in 1st grade for a profit, being a Southern Living at Home consultant, owning …And You’re Invited, and a slew of other things that I have dabbled with. I decided to start this blog as I start on my new adventure… Interior Design.
A year and a half ago, I signed up at Appalachian Tech for their Interior Design program… I am getting ready to graduate and hopefully do this on my own. I have always loved design… I come by that honestly. My mom and I would have Saturday “rearrange the whole house” days. This happened monthly! My mom would drag us to home accent stores and I always remember her saying, “You will love this one day.” Now, I can’t get enough of them! So thanks mom for helping me find my passion. My dad is in construction, and I am always in awe of how he makes things so beautiful. We share a huge bond with making places go from ordinary to extraordinary. We bounce design ideas off of each other constantly and can talk for hours about architecture, paint colors and space planning (well, I think I am the one talking 99% of the time).
Then there’s Chris… he has learned just about the same about Interior Design as I have during the past year and a half. He is always so supportive of my many whims. I came home from being on a girl’s trip, and he had placed a new piece of art along with 2 accessories on the mantel. I couldn’t help but crack up! Thank you Chris for sharing my interests with me. I will try to get a little more excited about deer this fall!
I plan on updating what’s going on with me and my family as well as progress in design.
